The Ronald McDonald House Care Mobile is a 40-foot, state-of-the-art, fully equipped mobile dental clinic operated in partnership with Arkansas Children’s Hospital and Delta Dental of Arkansas.
With a team consisting of a dentist, a dental hygienist, and a dental assistant, the Ronald McDonald House Care Mobile travels to select elementary schools during the school year. Counties served are Pulaski, Saline, Perry, Faulkner, Lonoke, and Grant. Schools are selected based on the greatest number of students utilizing free and reduced lunch programs and the number of children whose families have no access to dental care. With help from school nurses, students are triaged based on the greatest need for care. The Ronald McDonald House Care Mobile stays at each school for 2-3 weeks to treat as many students as possible who need dental care. Many of these children have never seen a dentist before nor do they have dental insurance.
