As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, established in 1981, the mission of Ronald McDonald House Arkansas & North Louisiana is to provide essential services that remove barriers, strengthen families, and promote healing when children need healthcare. We accomplish this through our three core programs: the Ronald McDonald House, Ronald McDonald Family Room, and Ronald McDonald Care Mobile. All services are free to families thanks to generous donors. While we are a part of the Ronald McDonald House Global network, our nonprofit operates independently and 100% of all funds donated stay local.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
We’re looking for a dynamic, relationship-driven fundraising leader who brings energy, strategy, and passion to their work. As a vital member of our Leadership Team, this individual will play a central role in shaping and driving our fundraising efforts—from major gifts and capital campaigns to annual and planned giving.

Our ideal candidate thrives on building meaningful connections with donors, corporate partners, community leaders, and foundations. They will work closely with the CEO who is a key leader for all fundraising efforts and the Senior Events & Philanthropy Manager, who leads our annual fundraising events, ensuring alignment with broader development goals. Accountable to the CEO, this leader will champion our mission and values through thoughtful stewardship and bold, mission-aligned fundraising strategies.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  1. Works with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chief Philanthropy Officer (CPO) to create, develop, and implement strategic and comprehensive annual fundraising plans, priorities, and budget for Little Rock programs in alignment with the strategic plan.
  2. Analyzes data and reporting around fundraising achievements and goal accomplishment and readjusts strategies as necessary.
  3. Committed to raising $1 million+ a year to support families in Central Arkansas
  4. Actively stewards donor relationships to provide ongoing and growing sources of funding and brand awareness. 
  5. Leads and implements capital campaigns in Central Arkansas in partnership with CEO and CPO.
  6. Works with CPO to establish and implement formal major gifts program that identifies, cultivates, secures, and retains major donors ($5,000+). 
  7. Creates and executes planned giving activities.
  8. Identifies new sources of revenue and potential revenue streams.
  9. With the Development Committee Chair, plans the agenda and supports the Committee to accomplish their strategic goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business administration, or related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of proven success in nonprofit fundraising including major gifts, corporate and foundation giving, and special events.
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  4. Strong leadership and management skills.
  5. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and volunteers.
  6. Experience with fundraising software and donor databases.
  7. Thrives in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision while delivering high-quality results.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  1. Passion for our mission and those we serve.
  2. Strong storyteller with the ability to connect with families staying at a Ronald McDonald House program and demonstrated ability to share in an impactful way.
  3. Knowledgeable of and committed to donor stewardship and retention.
  4. Excellent presentation, public speaking, and community relations skills.
  5. Must maintain discretion regarding confidentiality and privacy.
  6. Successful experience interacting with volunteers.
  7. Demonstrate problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  8. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office. Fluency working with platforms such as Bloomerang, OneCause, and Canva will be beneficial.
  9. Ability to travel for conferences, site visits to other programs, and meetings with donors and prospects. Our events will also require evenings.

Strategic Partnerships & Events Lead - Monroe, LA

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Strategic Partnerships & Events Lead is responsible for assisting the North Louisiana Mission Director in raising the annual operating budget of $650,000 while raising awareness of the new Ronald McDonald House: Shreveport-Bossier. The ideal candidate will be outgoing, enjoy engaging with individuals and groups, and confidently speak to audiences about our mission and purpose. They will advocate for the organization’s mission and encourage the community’s support of the families it serves. They will coordinate and manage volunteers (which are the heart of our programs), identify new stakeholders and donors, and represent the organization to a wide variety of groups. They will capture and produce creative content for social media to showcase the program and mission, while assisting with marketing and other fundraising efforts to further visibility in the region.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Primary oversight of the volunteer program. Build and manage the volunteer database. Recruit and host volunteers and groups, in coordination with the Program Manager. Ensure volunteers have a meaningful experience, including development of an appreciation event.
  • Identify, create and maintain a database of stakeholders, family and program impact stories, including high-resolution photos/videos, for use in marketing materials and social media.
  • Provide tours of the Ronald McDonald House to community members and groups, communicating the organization’s program and volunteer needs.
  • Lead and execute our signature event, Blue Jeans and Bubbles, and third-party events and fundraisers.
  • Consult with the communications director for strategic alignment across our territory. Includes analyzing, recommending, and improving achievement of marketing goals.
  • Ensure consistent design of promotional materials to support regional program, event and volunteer needs, adhering to branding standards and templates.
  • Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.
  • Occasionally travel to other program sites in North LA and Arkansas for events, education, and/or presentations.
