Ronald McDonald House: Baptist Health

In 1974, the very first Ronald McDonald House was built with the simple premise that families shouldn’t have to worry about where to stay, how they will feed their family, or feel isolated when their child is in the hospital. We are here to ensure you don’t face this journey alone and can focus on what matters most – your child.

COMING SOON

RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE: BAPTIST HEALTH will open in late Fall 2026. Located on the mezzanine floor of the hospital, it will keep families nearby when their ill or injured child is in one of the hospital’s critical care units. When it opens, families will find a welcoming space and the friendly faces of our compassionate staff and dedicated volunteers.

Thank you to our Capital Campaign Chairs, Carolyn and Gary Lay!

Carolyn, whose grandfather helped start Baptist Hospital, has shared that this is an incredibly special project for them. Carolyn and Gary were great supporters of our organization for many years in its early days, having chaired the golf tournament on several occasions. It was Carolyn and some friends who had the idea to create the Red-Carpet Boutique on the fifth floor of the Ronald McDonald House in Little Rock, providing clothes for the ladies in the House. Carolyn also talked with her friend, a NY designer who does a trunk show at B Barnett, and now continues to send boxes of new, basic clothing for our moms to wear. When Gary owned a local ad agency, they designed our car wrap pro bono and continued to support us in many ways for years to come. We are incredibly grateful for all their support over the years and to have them leading this campaign that is so close to their hearts.
